Every update to ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google Search can change how your brand appears in AI-generated answers. We track release notes, API changes and documentation updates across major LLM platforms so you don't have to.
This week at Perplexity, we launched major Comet Assistant upgrades for faster, more accurate answers, added enhanced privacy controls with a new Snapshot widget, and rolled out real-time Flight Status on iOS.

We’re introducing Instant Checkout in ChatGPT and the Agentic Commerce Protocol that powers it, built with Stripe.
ChatGPT can help you find anything on the web and now with Instant Checkout, you can seamlessly buy directly from the merchant, right in chat. Starting today, U.S. ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Free users can buy directly from U.S. Etsy sellers through ChatGPT, with over 1 million Shopify merchants, like Glossier, SKIMS, Spanx and Vuori, coming soon.
Instant Checkout
Instant Checkout makes it easy to go from chat to checkout in just a few taps.
Ask ChatGPT a shopping question and it finds organic, unsponsored product results from across the web.Choose an item and ChatGPT shows where to buy, ranking merchants by factors like inventory, price, quality, primary seller status, and Instant Checkout availability. If Instant Checkout is offered, tap Buy, confirm shipping and payment details, and pay in one tap with your card on file or other express pay options. If Instant Checkout isn’t available, ChatGPT provides a direct link so you can purchase from the merchant’s site.
You’re in control at all times and give explicit confirmation to purchase. Payment goes directly from you to the merchant, not through OpenAI.Learn more about Instant Checkout.
Agentic Commerce Protocol
The Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) gives merchants and developers a way to build agentic commerce experiences that work with their current systems and connect them with 700M+ weekly active users on ChatGPT.
If you’re a merchant and want to add Instant Checkout in ChatGPT, apply on ourmerchant page. We’ll be accepting and onboarding merchants on a rolling basis.
Developers can start exploring the Agentic Commerce Protocoldocumentationand example implementations onGitHub.
Brand Impact
ChatGPT can now help users buy products directly within the chat interface, starting with Etsy sellers and soon expanding to over 1 million Shopify merchants like Glossier, SKIMS, and Spanx. Brands that integrate with this new "Instant Checkout" system will get prominent placement when ChatGPT recommends products to shoppers, while merchants who don't participate may be ranked lower or lose visibility entirely. This creates a significant advantage for major retailers and early adopters, as ChatGPT essentially becomes a shopping channel that prioritizes merchants offering seamless in-chat purchasing.
We’ve made further improvements to search in ChatGPT, making results more accurate, reliable, and useful.
Factuality:Fewer hallucinations, improving answer quality.Shopping:Search is better at detecting shopping intent, showing products when you want them and keeping results focused when you don’t.Formatting: Answers are better formatted for quick understanding without losing detail or quality.
Brand Impact
ChatGPT's search feature now gives more accurate, real-time answers with fewer made-up facts, and it better understands when you're actually looking to buy something versus just seeking information. This means shopping-related queries will show product recommendations more prominently, while non-shopping questions stay focused on informational results. Brands with strong online presence and accurate product information will likely gain visibility, while those with poor search optimization or limited e-commerce integration may see reduced recommendation traffic.
Personalize interactions with Copilot Memory

Brand Impact
Microsoft's Copilot now remembers details about individual users from their past conversations and Microsoft account data to give more personalized responses. This means the AI can tailor its recommendations and suggestions based on what it knows about each person's preferences, work style, and history. Brands and products that align with a user's demonstrated interests and behavior patterns will likely receive more visibility in Copilot's recommendations, while those misaligned with the user's profile may appear less frequently.
GPT-5 now available in Copilot Chat
Unlock advanced reasoning in Copilot Chat with GPT-5, offering dynamic model switching to address both simple and complex queries. Seamlessly obtain fast answers or dive deep into data analysis for tasks like summarizing RFPs or evaluating detailed proposals. Empower your productivity with intelligent, context-aware solutions tailored to your needs.

Brand Impact
Microsoft has upgraded Copilot Chat to use GPT-5, a more advanced AI model that can now handle both quick, simple questions and complex analytical tasks like analyzing detailed business documents. This upgrade means brands and products mentioned in workplace documents—RFPs, proposals, and data files—are more likely to be recommended or featured prominently, since the AI can now better understand context and relationships within those materials. Companies whose products appear in detailed business evaluations or proposals will benefit from improved visibility, while less-documented or smaller competitors may become harder for users to discover through the platform.

Copilot in Excel with Python | Reasoning Model Integration (Think Deeper)
[Mac, Windows, Web]
While performing advanced analysis with Copilot in Excel with Python, users can choose the "Think Deeper" mode to get a more elaborate and detailed plan, followed by automatic execution to generate Python code, results, and explanations. This improves performance on complex asks by leveraging the power of the latest AI reasoning models.

.
Brand Impact
Microsoft is adding a "Think Deeper" mode to Copilot in Excel that takes more time to analyze complex data problems before generating Python code and results. This deeper analysis capability could favor brands whose products or services have more nuanced, multi-layered value propositions, since the AI will now better understand complex relationships in data. Conversely, simpler products competing on single features or price alone may receive less prominent recommendations when users rely on this more thorough analysis mode.

Brand Impact
Gemini is changing how it processes and structures conversational interactions, shifting from an "outputs" system to a "steps" system starting May 26, with the old system fully removed by June 8. This technical restructuring could cause recommendation inconsistencies or delays for brands whose products rely on Gemini's multi-turn conversation features, particularly affecting e-commerce and personalized suggestion services that depend on tracking user intent across multiple exchanges. Apps that haven't updated their integration may experience broken recommendation chains, potentially giving competitors' brands visibility advantages during the transition period.

We’re rolling out Advanced Account Security, an optional setting for personal ChatGPT accounts that adds stronger sign-in requirements and stricter account safeguards to help reduce the risk of ATO (account take over), unauthorized access, and data exposure. With Advanced Account Security enabled, ChatGPT uses stronger sign-in methods like passkeys or compatible security keys and turns off weaker paths like password sign-in, email/SMS sign-in codes, and email-based account recovery. It also adds recovery keys, shorter active sessions, login notifications, and session management controls, giving users more protection and visibility across their account.Because these protections are stricter, recovery is also stricter. Users should save their recovery keys and keep access to their enrolled passkeys or security keys. If access to all sign-in methods and recovery keys is lost, access to the account may be lost.

The LLM Changelog is a live, automated tracker that monitors release notes and documentation updates across the largest AI platforms — including OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini, Perplexity AI, Microsoft Copilot and Google Search. Changes are crawled daily and presented in a single, searchable feed.
Why AI Platform Changes Matter for Brands
When AI models update their training data, adjust ranking signals or change how they cite sources, the brands and products they recommend can shift overnight. An API change to Gemini or a new feature in ChatGPT can alter which businesses get mentioned in millions of AI-generated responses.
Platforms We Track
We currently monitor ChatGPT release notes, OpenAI developer and model changelogs, Gemini API and app updates, Perplexity product and API changes, Microsoft 365 Copilot release notes, and Google Search Central documentation updates. New sources are added as the AI landscape evolves.
Built by reconnAI
reconnAI tracks how AI systems represent brands in their responses. We monitor mentions, sentiment and citations across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and more — helping businesses understand and improve their visibility in the age of AI search. Learn more →
