Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility: SharePoint list support in Agent Builder
SharePoint list support in Agent Builder
[Windows, Web]
Agent Builder now supports using a SharePoint list as a knowledge source for agents in Microsoft 365 Copilot. Makers can ground an agent in structured list data so users can ask questions and get responses based on information stored in a selected SharePoint list. For this release, each agent can reference one SharePoint list with up to 20,000 items, alongside other knowledge source types. Support for list attachments and lookup columns is not yet available.

Try this:
Open Agent Builder and create or edit an agent.
Select SharePoint list as a knowledge source.
Choose a SharePoint list with up to 20,000 items to ground your agent.
Why this matters:
Using SharePoint lists as a knowledge source lets agents answer questions based on structured organizational data, improving user support and information access.
Business impact:
Teams can leverage existing SharePoint lists to build more informed agents, reducing manual data preparation and integration efforts.
