Edit capability for selecting permission reading option for existing ServiceNow Knowledge & Catalog Connections
[Web]
Earlier admins had to create new connections to adopt to the hierarchical permissions for ServiceNow Knowledge & Catalog Copilot Connectors as the edit capability was missing. Now, admins can easily edit their existing connections to switch between the permission handling option i.e. Simple vs Advanced to quickly adopt to the hierarchical permission feature.

What changed:
Previously, admins had to create new connections to adopt hierarchical permissions for ServiceNow Knowledge and Catalog Copilot Connectors because editing was not supported. Now, they can modify existing connections to choose between simple and advanced permission handling, enabling faster adoption of hierarchical permissions without recreating connections.
Why:
Adding edit capability simplifies management and reduces administrative overhead when updating permission settings for ServiceNow integrations.
Try this:
Open the Copilot Extensibility admin portal.
Select an existing ServiceNow Knowledge or Catalog connection.
Choose 'Edit' and switch the permission handling option between Simple and Advanced.
Save changes to apply the new permission mode.
Why this matters:
This update streamlines permission management and accelerates deployment of hierarchical permissions for ServiceNow connectors.
Business impact:
Admins save time and reduce errors by updating permissions without recreating connections, improving governance and security compliance.
Personal impact:
You spend less time managing ServiceNow connections and can quickly adapt permission settings to meet organizational policies.
