September 21, 2026 — Credit scores in Finances

ChatGPT
You can now track your credit score in ChatGPT. Securely connect your Experian® credit report and VantageScore® 3.0 credit score to get personalized insights into what’s affecting your score and how it relates to your finances and goals.
Your score and report update monthly, and credit monitoring can alert you to important changes, such as a new inquiry, account, or address. Your Experian connection is separate from your bank accounts, so you can use the credit-score feature without connecting accounts through Plaid.
This feature is rolling out in Finances to Plus and Pro users in the U.S. on web, iOS, and Android. Some eligible users may not see it right away.

Brand Impact
On 21 September 2026, OpenAI added credit scores to Finances in ChatGPT: eligible US Plus and Pro users can connect an Experian credit report and VantageScore 3.0 score to get personalised insights and monthly credit monitoring on web, iOS and Android. The connected credit data is private and ad-free, so brands do not appear in the personal view. The visibility story is broader: a high-intent, money-critical category moving further into ChatGPT, where the sources and brands the model trusts shape the answers people receive. It is a personal-finance feature, not a new model. Read our full analysis: https://reconn-ai.com/news/chatgpt-credit-scores-finances-ai-visibility/
